Kevin Songster serves as Operations Area Director for Alexandria Restaurant Partners (ARP), bringing more than 30 years of experience in restaurant management, operations, and leadership development. He joined ARP in June 2021 as Managing Partner of Mia’s Italian Kitchen in Alexandria, where he played an instrumental role in nearly doubling the restaurant’s annual revenue while building and developing a strong management team. His success at Mia’s laid the foundation for his transition into a broader operational leadership role within the company.

As Operations Area Director, Songster works closely with restaurant leadership teams to strengthen day-to-day operations, improve financial performance, and maintain high standards of service across ARP’s portfolio. Drawing on his extensive experience in restaurant management, he focuses on developing talent, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing teams with the tools and guidance needed to succeed.

Prior to joining ARP, Songster held leadership positions with The Cheesecake Factory, Zinburger, American Tap Room, Champps Entertainment, Cosi, and Roadhouse Grill. His experience includes overseeing restaurant operations across multiple states, leading new restaurant openings, and improving financial performance.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University and an associate degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University. Guided by his favorite hospitality mantra, “Be the reason the guest remembers the night,” Songster brings a guest-focused approach to every aspect of restaurant operations. Outside of work, he is an avid Washington Capitals and Commanders fan and enjoys supporting Gonzaga College High School football.
