Sheridan co-founded APEX Systems in 1995. Under his tenure as co-CEO, the company grew to over $700 million in revenue prior to its sale to ASGN, where he continues to serve on the board. Sheridan then founded his investment and consulting firm, BDW Investments, LLC, where he invested in many early-stage companies including Sweetgreen, EverFi, DataBricks, SentinelOne, ILIA, and others.
Because of his entrepreneurial spirit, Sheridan served as chairman of the APEX Center for Entrepreneurs at Virginia Tech University.
He also serves on the boards of PeacePlayers International, an international community improvement and leadership organization that unites and educates children and their communities in areas of conflict, as well as the One Campaign, an organization focused on ending extreme poverty and preventable disease by 2030. He has recently also served on the boards of Gonzaga College High School and ThanksUSA.In addition to his board work, Sheridan is an active philanthropist, supporting organizations like Inova Schar Cancer Institute and the Yellow Ribbon Fund, among others.
Sheridan brings unique business acumen to ARP’s hospitality operations, and his passion for restaurants and the positive change they can bring to communities propels his daily activities with the organization. An Alexandria native, Sheridan cites the transformation ARP restaurants have brought to the Old Town Alexandria waterfront area as one of the main reasons for his interest in becoming a partner with the group.Through his partnership at ARP, Sheridan hopes to help grow the company, and to provide new and exciting world-class hospitality experiences for guests. His vision is to help the organization evolve while honoring the exceptional food, service, and atmosphere for which the restaurant group is known.
